Sarah Arden

Dr. Sarah Arden serves as the knowledge development lead for the PROGRESS Center. In this role, she oversees policy scans, literature reviews, focus groups, and site visits to generate best practices and challenges faced by stakeholders implementing high-quality educational programming. Dr. Arden also leads technical assistance efforts for the National Center on Intensive Intervention, Implementation Coordinator for an i3 development grant, and is the senior recruiter on an Institute of Education Sciences-funded evaluation study of MTSS of reading in early grades. Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Arden was an OSEP Fellowship Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her PhD and supported large-scale randomized control trials investigating increased academic outcomes for students with disabilities. She has presented at numerous conferences and published book chapters and peer-reviewed articles focused on high-quality IEPs, special education services, RTI/MTSS, systems change and alignment, and improving outcomes for students with disabilities.
