Timara Davis, PhD serves as a technical assistance provider for the PROGRESS Center. Dr. Davis obtained her PhD in Exceptional Education from the University of Central Florida, master’s in special education from Western Carolina University, and bachelor’s from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Her background is deeply rooted in special education, having begun her career as a special education teacher working in Title 1 and Charter schools with high populations of students with disabilities and English as a Second Language (ESL). Currently, her work focuses on coaching and professional learning opportunities for states, districts, and schools around special education, evidence-based practices, and multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) in reading and math.
