Kyrene School District is one of Arizona’s leading public-school districts, providing excellence in education for more than 130 years. Kyrene is known for high academic achievement, with schools consistently outperforming peer districts, charter schools, and state averages on AzMERIT and other academic benchmarks. Kyrene comprises 26 schools (18 elementary, 6 middle, and two K-8). District boundaries encompass all of Ahwatukee and parts of Chandler, Guadalupe, Tempe, and the Gila River Indian Reservation. Kyrene enrolls approximately 15,000 students in grades K-8 and offers preschool options on every elementary school campus.
