Nicole Bucka M.A., is an MTSS Implementation Specialist who brings diverse professional experiences to her work. Nicole began her career as a teacher in California: special education, secondary English, and English Language Development, evolving to hold a variety of leadership positions. From there, she moved into teacher training and administration support. Nicole supported Response to Intervention technical assistance statewide in Rhode Island and through the merger with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports with social emotional learning into the tiered continuum to form a multi-tiered system of supports. In her current role as MTSS Implementation Specialist, Nicole supports the statewide implementation of data-based individualization (DBI) and contributes to the development and facilitation of online professional learning for BRIDGE-RI. Nicole is also the proud parent of two children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
