Rebecca Zumeta Edmonds

Dr. Rebecca Zumeta Edmonds is the principal investigator for the PROGRESS Center. In addition to her role with the PROGRESS Center, she serves as co-director of the National Center on Intensive Intervention, and recently led an Investing in Innovation Fund (i3) development grant. Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Zumeta Edmonds worked for the Washington State Department of Special Education providing technical assistance to support response to intervention and alternate assessment implementation, supported randomized-controlled trial research of mathematics interventions at Vanderbilt University, and taught special education in public and private lab schools. She has extensive experience presenting to researcher, policymaker, and practitioner audiences, and has coauthored approximately two dozen papers, chapters, and reports on various topics related to special education policy, implementation, intervention, and assessment. Dr. Zumeta Edmonds holds a PhD from Vanderbilt University.
