Tessie Rose Bailey, PhD, is the Director of the PROGRESS Center and advisor for the Center on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS Center) at AIR, Lead IDEA Center, and National Center on Intensive Interventions (NCII). She also supports states, districts, and schools in implementing special education requirements, special education law, and tiered systems of support. She has conducted hundreds of workshops and presentations for local and state educators to support the design and delivery of specially designed instruction, IEPs, and tiered systems to support for improved outcomes for students with disabilities. She recently co-edited What is Necessary for Special Education to Work and released widely used special education tip sheets, coaching resources, and learning modules
