Transition Specialist
Denise Griffin has been a special educator for 28 years. For the last 26 years, she taught high school students with complex multiple disabilities. In 2016, she graduated with her Master’s in special education with an emphasis on transition services. She is currently working on her EdD in Organizational Leadership. Her research area is postsecondary opportunities related to community participation, involvement, and engagement for individuals with complex multiple disabilities. In her classroom, focus areas include functional communication, student voice and choice, social-emotional skills, and service-learning.
